Oh man, it's been... too long. Although I've stayed in the shadows and read fanfiction constantly, I haven't written anything myself since October 2008. I haven't written any Spawn since -oh my god- March 2008. Well, I've been leading a very crazy and busy life- I'm in my senior year of college studying as a BFA Theatre major so that hopeful, maybe ( Read more... )

Aw glad you're back bb =) You write some of the best Spawn out there. And this was just perfection, you managed to take the dialogue and change it to something else entirely. It's probably one of my favorite scenes b/c just the way Dawn acts, so grown up and sure of herself. Anyways awesome job ^_^

Welcome back! I missed you and your wonderful works of art. I really love this because it just straddles the line between platonic and romantic, and it's really sad and hopeful at the same time. Really beautifully done, my dear, and I hope your muse sticks around for a while. :)

Oh, I missed you! I miss you and your art pieces. Thank you for your compliments, they mean so much to me, it's good to see some of the old faces are still lurking about. I hope my muse does stick around and I hope, maybe, it can inspire other peoples *winkwinknudgenudge*

Oh, I hope so! I've been moving my old things over to a new comm and reading over them, and it sort of nudged the little spark inside of me that's been asleep all this time. It's not awake yet, but I'm hoping with a little more urging it'll come back to life!

This is beautiful. I love "She was right in between, not night or day. She was dawn." and "Buffy was all vanilla and honey- but Dawn smelled like her namesake. With her in his arms, he could remember what the sun felt like before it burned him. He breathed her in and bathed in her warmth- this was Dawn." Very evocative.

Thank you so much! I appreciate it. I like to work a lot with imagery and metaphors, I want to make my text as visual and rich as possible to the readers. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I normally read pwp to pass the time, but this is so much better. Your writing style makes it feel so real, like it's really happening. I'm so glad I read this and hope to read more. There is almost zero Dawn fiction on the whole web, I know because I've been searching for it ever since I retired a few months ago. I've tried writing, but I'm just no good at it ... it always just turns into a big pwp kinda crap. I'll be checking back every couple of months to see if you've written anything. Thanks for this excellent bit of fiction.
