Challenge 184: To the Ends of the Earth
A quick look at a map of the world will show any number of places that are remote, sparsely inhabited, and generally inaccessible. Quite a few are islands, from St Helena and Ascension in the South Atlantic to the Aleutians in the North Pacific, and from the Faeroe Islands in the North Atlantic to the archipelago chains of the South Pacific. This week's drabbles should have as a setting one of these lands at the ends of the earth -- or as near to it as one can come, at any rate.
