Okay first the background story. Bradley and I have been "dating" but not "serious" since about March. Given that he lives so far away our dates have been rather few and far between but we still communicate pretty well. Anyway he had (before he even met me) planned to come down here for the summer

Whether or not you're "official" doesn't matter - there's enough between you that he should have called to say he made it. It's not asking that much, and if he's ashamed of you he's a complete ass.

Okay he did eventually call and everything's fine. He started work so it's really understandable as to why he had to cancel. He also sent my phone a text message I just didn't get it for some odd reason to the next day (but the timestamp was for the previous day)
