My cable modem kicks me off at random intervals. Could be five minutes, could be five hours. No pattern behind it at all, aside from me being able to reboot, and access the internet once more

get FRUSTRATED ... thats not a fun thing to have happen ... i know that meghan couldnt really do much when hers kept gonig off ..i think her dad tweaked it so it would only show every 20 though or sumthin like that .. but that is internal tweaking, not something i can do ... -.-''

I think that it's time to put the cable company on the spot and not let up until they figure out what the h*ll is up.

My ADSL modem freezes for an average of 30-45 seconds (but occationally as much as 2 min) approximately once every 5 minutes. I understand your frustration, though I don't have to reboot to get it working again I just have to attempt to be pacient (it's hard, very hard).

I'd call and give the phone comany h*ll but they're out on strike.

Try to go into Tools.. then Internet Options... then Connections. See if there's a connection on there that shouldn't be, like XXX-something. Or something like that. Delete it, if there's a fishy one there, and see what happens. We had a major problem here, and THAT was the thing that fixed it. Well, just try at least.
