The first three seasons of The West Wing are some of the best television ever. Season 4 would have been better if Sorkin wasn't on drugs when he wrote it, and I refuse to accept that seasons 5, 6 and most of 7 happened.

I still maintain that the last half of season 2 represents perfection, and the last five episodes (17 People through Two Cathedrals) is the best five hours of drama ever broadcast on television.
