Was rather bored today, so was perusing LJ in the hopes of finding some journal RP community to join. I used to RP all the time on White-Wolf's V:tM chat site, but they did away with the html chat, so haven't for over a year, and was feeling a bit nostalgic, longing for the escape into another world of fantasy. I'm with ya there Darrke...I don't get the "cybering" thing either....boredom? or just plain laziness?

Good luck on finding a RP forum, I'm sure there are some out there.

Oh, I didn't say that I was against cybering in general, given that I can see where it would be practical. Long distance relationships and the like. I'm just against people using it in RP as a means of vicariously living out their needs, as they can't/won't get the real thing.

And again within RP, as long as it's part of the scene and story, and not just a means of getting your jollies, I'm not against acting it out, as it's something the character does.

As for finding a game, there's probably some out there, it's just a matter of being able to find one amidst them.

Have you checked out NeoHogwarts? Well, I think the new name is Inspired Quills or something like that, but they definitely allow original characters. In fact, it's a rarity to even see the canon characters, since those spots were filled so long ago. Now it just has a crapload of "original" characters.

Eh, I'm not so fond of it, though it does lend to that slight 'distinguished look.'

Might leave it, then again, might hit the bottle again and dye it.
