We are too litigious a society to have that kind of interaction with animals. Here, is a tourist was scratched by a tiger cub, it would be cause for a lawsuit.

Although, we used to have a wealthy man living outside of town who loved animals and began collecting exotic ones. Our children were able to pet lion cubs. We used to visit his ranch on a regular basis. It grew and grew, and now it is a respectable wildlife refuge. But no one gets close to the animals now!

I know every creature fills a niche, and I wish no ill toward any; however, I'd find myself hard pressed to support a breeding program for crocodiles!

Yuck on the scorpions!

I loved reading this--what an incredible chance you had to feed the tiger cub. Could you feel his immense strength?

Oh yeah. He was surprisingly strong. A lot more so than his size would dictate. Even had I been really trying, I don't think I could have gotten that bottle away from him. I'm not much of an animal person, given my allergies to most everything, but tigers are amazing animals. And very beautiful.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's nice knowing one's posts are read and enjoyed. =)
