Don't take it personally...

So as I often do in my afternoons I'm sitting here in my Cube, rocking that QA tip and listening to various industrial..ish acts on myspace. Some of whom I know on a personal level, and many of whom I do not. Often times I read their blogs or myspace comments... and there is no lack of enthusiasm when it comes to these artists trying to sell CD's ( Read more... )

It's something I've addressed with me in the last year-- because of that I bought floops and try not to use cracked software anymore.

And I've used Vanguard on some new tracks but already pretty much gave it up-- too damn identifiable:)

And these are reasons that you sir are a good man! I don't want to give the impression that I am a super hardliner on the whole warez scene as in many cases it is essential for the adoption and spread of solid products... but I do think people should be mindful and try to remember that there is no victimless theft when it comes to small software companies... Except Maudio, who has made an absolute market massacre off of all the kids stealing software but needing a cheap usb midi controller :]

As for vanguard I use it soemwhat regularly but try to limit it to select cases where it really shines... or it's mixed low hehe. I think the way the "wide" knob works its algorythm is what makes it so easily identifiable. But it's just a tool, use it right... no one cares if you built the entire house using the same hammer... unless of course you built a shoddy house.

Also, I do expect remix kits! Or else.. well nothing... but still!
