A Comprehensive and Unnecessary Look at "Pirates of the Caribbean" *SOME SPOILERS*

Jun 04, 2007 09:58

I am the queen of skepticism when it comes to movies, more so when the premise sounds idiotic. I went to Disneyworld in 1999, and went on the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride, so my reaction to hearing of the first movie was "A movie based on a theme park ride? Get the fuck out of here." I'm confused about the Poison Ivy bit.

Tia Dalma was awesome, but a bit anti-climatic.

you made me gigglefit at the "recently divorced couple" line.

and I actually got more slashy vibes from Pintel and Ragetti in this movie than in the first one. and that's saying something because they *cross-dressed* in the first one!

am I the only one who had their brain pop when Ragetti said *the line* to Tia Dalma?

Poison Ivy from "Batman" has a special lipstick that can kill anyone she kisses. In "Pirates", every guy Elizabeth kisses dies very painfully shortly afterwards.

Don't mind me. I'm a Batman nerd. 8D

Did you notice in the beginning when Ragetti gets freaked out by the fat guy in the sewers, he actually clings to Pintel? So cuuuuute.

God that part was hilarious. Especially after Barbossa failed so badly at saying it. And you just KNOW the reason why Ragetti said it right:

Barbossa: The hell? How'd you do that??
Ragetti: Years of practise. *glomps Pintel*

:D

About the only thing that annoyed me the entire move was not understandign what the fuck Tia Dalma was saying in a certian scene.

She's hard to understand but I still like her.

did you remember to stay after the credits Keisha? :D

Naturally. 8D
