I'm really excited about the Dr Vogel character. Firstly, there's been a major lack of older women characters on 'Dexter'. There was Camilla and Sonya, both strong characters, who were seemingly discarded because they weren't hot young things like most of the female characters on this show. It'd be great to have a female villain who isn't a femme fatale, but more of an evil genius who can screw with Dexter psychologically rather than sexually. It's definitely a character type they haven't had before on Dexter which is refreshing. And I've always been interested in the psychoanalysing of Dexter, particularly the question of whether Dexter really was an incurable child psychopath or whether Dexter was made into psychopath through his training and conditioning with Harry's Code. It's interesting how Vogel seems to consider psychopaths to be valuable.

ooh, that makes the season look really good. I'm looking forward to this new character also.
