Well, everyone is doing it, so here's my thrillingly inconsequential review of 2006. Followed by my best albums and singles of the year. Because I can.
[1.] What did you do in 2006 that you have never done before?
Organised my own (one off) club night.
[2.] Did you keep all of last years resolutions?
No.
[3.] Have you any resolutions for next year?
The same as the ones for this year, really.
[4.] What countries did you visit?
Portugal, Spain, France, Milton Keynes.
[5.] What would you like to have in 2007 that you didn't have in 2006?
A new bathroom. A new job. Health and happiness for Anwen and all my friends.
[6.] What date in 2006 will remain etched in your memory?
None that I recall.
[7.] What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Possibly number 1. Having people round for dinner. Going out in the week for a pint more than once.
[8.] What was your biggest failure?
Not seeing more of other people. Not getting a new job.
[9.] Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Really bad cold in the Spring that was only a cold but kept me off work for three days (sandwiched either side of a weekend). A lesser cold recently, but overall one of my healthier years.
[10.] What was the best thing you bought?
Some nice things for my flat. Nothing too memorable.
[11.] Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Stop The War Coalition/Respect/the whole lunatic fringe of The Left.
[12.] Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage, service charge, transport. Guns.
[13.] What did you get really really really excited about?
Organising my Pet Shop Boys night. The World Cup. Holidays.
[14.] What songs will always remind you of 2006?
Most things from my lists below.

[A] Fatter or thinner? Fatter.
[B] Happier or sadder? Probably sadder. With each passing moment...
[C] Richer or poorer? A little bit richer. Cashback, etc.
[16.] What do you wish you'd done more of?
Seeing my friends, seeing Anwen, reading, cooking, exercising, going to gigs/walks/museums etc. Sleeping.
[17.] What do you wish you'd done less of?
Work.
[18.] How will you be spending Christmas?
Working pretty much every day up to the 24th, after that collapsing in a heap. Then with Anwen, and my parents for Boxing Day.

Blimey, how many more are there of these? I'm getting bored now.
[20.] Did you fall in love in 2006?
Yawn.
[21.] How many one night stands?
Just the one (with all five members of Girls Aloud, though).
[22] What was your favourite TV show?
Life On Mars, probably.
[23.] Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.

Dan Rhodes - Anthropology. Didn't read much this year,
[25.] What was your greatest musical discovery?
Huski.
[26.] What did you want and get?
A reasonable bonus from work in the Spring.
27.] What did you want and not get?
Fame. Adulation. Power. Immortality.
[28.] What was your favourite film this year?
I'm not seen if I've seen any new films this year, bar Casino Royale, which was OK.
[29.] What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
Chez the Pub, for my 31st.
[30.] What one thing would have made your year more satisfying?
Boundless energy.
[31.] How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
As in the previous years, either OMD circa 1980, or just minimal/black.

My own conservatism.

Emily Strange.

Israel/the Middle East.

Syd Barrett.
