oh god i'm so sorry. i know it doesn't help, but still.

It might not make you feel better, but I've always believed that when an animal is taken from you suddenly like that, it is because someone else out there needs them more. So maybe there is some little kid out there who just found the best friend who will save their lives. I don't know, I always like to think that. It helps me to know that maybe it means i'm ready to go on without them, and that they have to continue on their own path.
