Today I saw Spamalot. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It was funny, yes. But it was not Tony-winning best musical quality. The best part was clearly the frenchmen, but I felt the cattle catapulting was lacking. I didn't even particularly like any of the actors. And the Lady of the Lake was just annoying. If you get into American Lit I'd be interested in what your reading list looks like. I'm taking American Novel this semester and we're reading The Scarlet Letter, Huck Finn, Sister Carrie, The Sound and the Fury (ugh), Red Badge of Courage, The Bell Jar, Garden of Eden, In Dubious Battle, and Beloved. Possibly others I'm forgetting.

Yeah, ours wouldn't be like that. I know Moby Dick is on the list, not sure what else. I really want to read Sister Carrie, though, since it's my name and all.

Heh, I figured. I took this class because the other section was reading Moby Dick...lol. We didn't completely escape Melville, though...we just finished Billy Budd, which was a novella. I can handle 90 pages, I guess. ;)
