[Even after all the time he's spent in the Dreaming, being in this strange and often horrific realm still has the ability to set his nerves on edge. His errand isn't helping matters, either. He has no idea what state his friend will be in when he reaches him or what he could possibly do to alleviate the virus' effects, and by the time he enters the Corinthian's gargantuan chambers his body is ringing with nervous tension.]

[He gives the room only a cursory look before calling out, both to pinpoint his location and provide a warning that he's arrived.] Corinthian?

[And that gets him to snap his head up immediately. Who-- no, that's right, Edgeworth had been threatening to come by, hadn't he? He forgot all about that.

....well shit.]

Over here. [Quick attempt to wipe away any new blood he smeared across his face: failed. So he pulls his knees up and rests his head on them instead.] The couch, I mean.

[The voice is coming from an unexpected source. Edgeworth frowns and crosses to the couch, hesitates before rounding the side.]

[The nightmare is slumped behind the couch. Worryingly, his face is hidden, but Edgeworth notes the dark traces still staining his fingers and his frown deepens.] I take it there hasn't been any improvement.

Is it that obvious? [Maybe Edgeworth can't see the grimace that follows, but he can probably hear it.] It has to be the virus. It'll end soon.
