Steamverse thing
Kierian didn't really deal as well as she lets on.
Her skin hurts. Maybe not her skin, maybe her eyeballs. Everything hurts. Everything hurts so fucking bad and she doesn't want to open her eyes to see why. But someone's talking to her. Someone knows she's awake again and is shaking her shouler and oh fuck that hurts. Everything hurts.
"Ge'off," She croaks out, eyes still shut. Throat hurts too. Hurts so much. But it's her dad, and he's talking to her and she can't quite hear him. So she opens her eyes to see what he wants. He keeps talking, and she still can't really hear him. Like there's cotton in her ears or something, the sounds all stopped up and blurry. And everything hurts. Hurts so bad. The arm, that's what hurts so bad. Feels like fire. So she turns her head - god that hurts - and doesn't see an arm. There's a gap where is usually is, nothing there. She looks father up, and finds a stump wrapped in gauze.
She can't stop screaming and it gives her the strangest sense of deja vu.
