Oh it's the shoulder blade? I've been a little lazy recently and have just been settling for the hip when I go swing dancin *figuring it's easier to manipulate movement there anyway* though since I usually play around in the open position as opposed to the closed I can somewhat get away with it. ^^

In contra, it's anywhere between shoulder blade and small of the back. I find that when men put their hand on my shoulder blades, I get more support and a better connection to the partner. This may differ in swing. For me, at least, anywhere below the waist is an absolute no-no.

Haha, you're prolly right, though like I said, I've gotten a little lazy in the last couple weeks, I blame it on the fact that my usual partner has went back to school and I don't have anyone to criticize me as of right now ^^.

I guess, I figured the hip is what we manipulate in Karate and the such, but in retrospect, I was trying to jam movement there not facillitate it, hmmmmm.

And you weren't talking about Swing? I sorta assumed with the "swinging weird" bit

It's a step in contra. I don't swing dance, per se.
