this is meant just as an intro to fermenting juices into alcohol. this an easy, very basic method with a minimal amount of equipment involved. i make a couple of batches every week for the weekend

yeah you could add herbs. some people mix in honey or malt syrup as well. there's names for all the variations. cool d&d sounding names like cyser and melomel actually. i always imagine halflings in hollowed tree breweries making them for export. i would probably boil the herbs into a tea concentrate. you can use sugar instead of concentrate if you like. you may want to boil it into syrup.
so, in place of the bubbler/air lock, you just put the stopper in the bottle and then the balloon over that? and then in the dark place for a week or so?
