mandarin chinese

i just had my first mandarin chinese class today. i'm glad i got a head start over the last year since the teacher was kind of confusing. it should be fun. i'm not excited about getting a chinese name though. i don't want a cheesy name but there's no way to tell if the the name the teacher gives me is cheesy or not. i want to be big bug or

My mandarin professor told us she would give us names that sound like real chinese names and not like one that came from an online translation thing. mine is Mao (Feather/Fur) Daoyi (senese of honour or justice).

I'm starting my third course of it in the fall, but I'm worried that I have fallen too far behind over the Summer.

i was just thinking how much i like the name leonard. or maybe i was thinking lawrence. i just mean, it wouldn't be that bad.

xiong is bear. the word also means male too though.
