mandarin chinese

i just had my first mandarin chinese class today. i'm glad i got a head start over the last year since the teacher was kind of confusing. it should be fun. i'm not excited about getting a chinese name though. i don't want a cheesy name but there's no way to tell if the the name the teacher gives me is cheesy or not. i want to be big bug or ( Read more... )

My mandarin professor told us she would give us names that sound like real chinese names and not like one that came from an online translation thing. mine is Mao (Feather/Fur) Daoyi (senese of honour or justice).

I'm starting my third course of it in the fall, but I'm worried that I have fallen too far behind over the Summer.

i was just thinking how much i like the name leonard. or maybe i was thinking lawrence. i just mean, it wouldn't be that bad.

can't you request "hacksaw the bear"? ha!

i'm really happy for you that you're taking this class! i know you've wanted to learn more for a long time. hell yeah!

xiong is bear. the word also means male too though.
