Ninety percent infection rate from what I've been able to test. Death and autoreanimation within four to eight hours. But the damn Barge brings them back to true life within a week or so if it isn't refreshed.

[Becoming the being that was the source of the Plague makes you a pretty lethal Typhoid Mary.]

Something I'm planning might make it necessary for you, at least temporarily. You've got time to consider before and after that, though.

Would there be a way of keeping infected on constant treatment? I would assume that the easiest way would be for them to ingest or come into contact with it frequently.

It's difficult. The wardens catch on fast and they don't appreciate converting people - even if it was the person's own decision.
