The whole playing with my head thing. What would have happened if I didn't force the cross fusion to break? He seemed mad at me when I did.

He likely would have pulled the attack at the last moment and gauged your reactions.

Of course he was mad! You tore free (his connections like that are raw anyway) and forcibly returned him to a human body and the physical world. It rattled his brains and hurt like hell ;D
