V2 sent off one final email, a quick reply that contained the time V2 would be there.

It was only set for later that evening. And just on the dot, V2 followed the coordinates to the location.

Onyx was there already, waiting; as V2 approached, Onyx turned slowly to face him. There was also the tingle that said a minor application or navi 'accessory' was waiting to be activated.

No armour was in evidence, either.

Returning the smile, Onyx tightened his grip just a bit; he was as frail-seeming as he'd ever been, but that deathly 'overtone' was gone.

With his other hand, he nudged the panel so that it could still be seen.

For a moment, V2 didn't say something. It was hard to but he had to ask,

"You do? Why?"

Tilting his head in clear question, Onyx squeezed V2's hand again before the response traced its way across the softly-glowing panel.

Because you deserve to be happy.

His smiled faded a little, "Doesn't everyone?"

Onyx hugged back, relaxing. And then he nodded.

Maybe it's just nervousness, being out now

"Yes. Most likely." V2 gave a final nod, "If it is okay, I am going to head off now. Be sure to keep in contact. I will."

Onyx nodded, and made preparations to transfer out of the network.

V2 gave a final wave before heading off on his way.
