It had been overcast all day, but no one expected the boomer that came around that afternoon. Sarah was sitting in the visitor center with Alyssa, Wendy, and a few park-goers taking shelter from the storm. The big ones didn’t usually last long, so people had little problem waiting them out. Sarah would talk to them, but they would mostly talk amongst themselves while the girls would group together.
“Any plans for the weekend?” Wendy asked the other girls. Sarah shook her head. Wendy tilted her head, puzzled.
“None of us will if this weather keeps up.” Alyssa remarked flatly.
