Suddenly, there was a rumbling sound and the ground began to shake. Looking over, Sayomi ran for the tree growing from the wall and grabbed on. As she began to pull herself up, the sand that was beneath her fell away. “Don’t look down…don’t look down…” She told herself, pulling herself up the tree-covered wall. She quickly came upon a hole large enough to climb into. She slowly pulled herself up into the hole and crawled through to the other side. The ground on that side seemed firm enough. “Oh, why did this place have to be made of sand?”
