I have only this to say: The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

One would think those attending the university would have more sense than that. Alas. Apparently not. And it becomes more apparent as to why I despise holy men. So quick to jump the gun, and to be self-assured in their actions.

A bright being would consider that...it does mirror the harm that Makabe-san wishes to bring...

Given that I seriously doubt this Kusabi had any sort of good intentions and that I equally doubt the person doing the blessing intended to harm Dante, I don't think this person was given much to think on by your question.

Especially given that no one on this campus seems to care about any opinion that doesn't make them right.

He hasn't made up his mind about immortality yet. I may be single again in fifty years.

And the ones who do understand are the ones who only care about their own point of view. (And I'm not excluding myself from that opinion, because I certainly have my own moments of hubris.)
