My last apartment had like zero closet space. When I was living alone there there wasn't enough. When Dave moved in we bought dresser - and by dresser I mean a couple of those plastic carts with drawers. They fit right into the closet underneath the shirts.
I ended up having to vacuum-pack all of my sweaters during the summer to have room, though.
