More seriously, you are the only one who can decide what's best for you, as daunting as that may seem. Whether or not you need Jesse to protect you I can't say and neither can he I think, only you can.

I wish you luck in modifying your behavior so that it pleases you more. I'm sure it's not easy.

On a lighter note again, I have not seen you in far, far too long. Are you around this week?

Did you really lose everything you gained from the relationship? You cannot spend so long, change so much, and take nothing from it. I was reminded while reading this of the college essay you posted back in December, so very much the opposite of what you write now. There you wrote:

"Jesse and God help me improve my life. Feelings of acceptance, self-worth, and purpose have replaced the pain and frustration I felt before my religious awakening. I am excited about my future. I believe that God put my boyfriend in my path for a reason, and I am eternally grateful for my relationships with both God and Jesse."Have you truly lost all that, or might you find when you recover from the initial sorrow that, whether or not it was destined to last, Jesse really was in your life for a reason.
