Good ol' MSN...beatenbynunsApril 21 2004, 00:02:56 UTC
I've noticed that MSN, more than any other portal, tends to have a strangely (and, in cases like this, inappropriately) heterogeneous news mixture. I personally could give a rat's ass about taking an "'adult' life quiz", especially when it's mentioned in a gaudy splash flanked by a Fidelity Investments ad and it wedges out a barely legible headline about the newest brutality in Iraq Israel [insert hellhole here].
Then again, I suppose we all feed into it via our collective penchant for information a la carte, taking our news in small, semi-instantaneous, linked chunks. It's really quite odd to consider the beasts into which we seem to be evolving. Sometimes I'm unsure which machine is serving which.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll return to perusing CNN.com and The Onion...
