Don't people ever just drink coffee anymore? Is it just a thing that they're fooling themselves into thinking they're getting coffee which is grown up and grimly efficient when they're really just getting a dessert in a cup? gah.

Hmm. That's sort of -- sort of -- like watching somebody order a julep or a cosmo and then asking "Don't people ever drink whiskey anymore?" It's a premium/specialty/shmancy-pansy drink that includes the grown up bits with a lot of sugar and fluff.

So, yes and no. Those Devil Mochas are typically special treats with a boost of really lovely italian-style coffee. I do have a few regulars who order sugary things like that every morning, sometimes more than once a day, and, well, god bless them. I wouldn't be able to do that. I'd crash and then bleed a little inside somewhere.
