In which her brain doesn't really sleep

I had a really striking and disturbing dream last night. If this dream were a film or a play, it'd be criticized, I'm sure, as a "hamfisted feminist allegory."

So, you see, I had to transcribe it immediately.

There are a lot of disturbing elements contained within, though, so be mindful of that.

The Dream. )

wow, thanks for sharing that dream.
It's cool you were going to sing son of a preacher man in the dream. I was recently talking to a friend about drag, and she was saying she sees herself as a drag queen more than a drag king. I asked her what song she'd do as a queen, and she said she already has it picked out - it's son of a preacher man.

That's a neat coincidence. I love the idea of doing Wanda Jackson as a queen -- "Fujiyama Mama," natch. But then, I also love the idea of doing Lux Interior as a queen. Or a king. Or a . . . Lux. I don't know.

The song? "It Thing Hard-on", or "Garbageman."

And, I don't know if I mentioned this, but your pictures from the drag show? Pogo fucking christ, are you hot or are you hot?

Woah. Yep. That was definitely "something."

On a personal note, I love dreams where I'm singing. It's so freeing.

I have a lot of dreams where I'm either singing or physically unable to sing. This makes a lot of sense to me.

Obviously, I prefer the ones where I can sing.
