One of the few bands to whom I display an embarassingly dorkish devotion will be playing their very last show ever and I mean ever at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland tonight. I was hoping against hopes that they might make a miraculous appearance at Homo Agogo because nothing would make my urethral cups overfloweth more than the idea of seeing Sleater-Kinney in Olympia again but, unsurprisingly enough, that did not happen.
So, kids, indulge me. Tell me your Top five favorite Sleater-Kinney songs and, if you're not too drunk and/or sober to explicate this, why.
And, duh, here's mine:
1. Turn It On
2. God Is A Number
3. Words And Guitar
4. Step Aside
5. Rollercoaster
Honorable Mentions:
The Drama You've Been Craving
Little Mouth
Light Rail Coyote
Pompeii
If you don't like Sleater-Kinney or if this simply isn't your bag of tube socks, just show me some pictures of adorably inbred kittycats.
