Malicious waste and fuschia nightmares

I just spent a ridiculous length of time making soup. It didn't involve homemade stock or anything like that. Just a pureed beet soup with sauteed apples. The problem with purees is that you have to, you know, puree the stuff in batches and then strain it. this food post with the corn sisters as soundtrack reminded me of terrible hostess - the carolyn mark cookbook. have you come across it? if not, i could photocopy it for you and send it your way via the goodness of canada post.

I saw her on that tour (and cooked dinner for her to boot). Part of the merch were silkscreened nighties and her cookbook which is something small she assembled and stapled. It looks like the cover was printed "professionally" but the rest of the cookbook are just photocopied pages. There's recipes for bourbon mint juleps, Thai-one-on chicken curry, chicken bog, lasagne, banana bread muffins, etc. The recipes are from family and friends.
