I generally don't discuss politics because, at least among my LJ friends, I'm in an absolute minority. They're all decidedly to the left of me, and so most of my opinions would only cause arguments. And, at heart, I don't like arguing ( ... )

I'm not an American, but I live in the States. I'm a news junky. I'm a big fan of the NPR show "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me." But, unless I were the supreme dictator of the universe and, thus, could arrange every single atom the way I want, it is really pointless for me to talk about politics, so I generally don't talk about it, online and offline. But I will whine about one thing right now. It's the interest rate. GOD DAMN IT! RAISE THE BLASTED INTEREST RATE! I can only dream about having an interest rate that's 10 times higher. But it shouldn't be unreasonable to expect an interest rate that's at least 2-3 times higher. Ugh ( ... )
