So my birthday came and went and I'm still stuck inside my house due to ridiculous amounts of snow. These past few weeks have been .... not so great. It's just been one thing after another with very few moments of Good Times in between.
First off my mother is incredibly sick and she's had to have surgery. She is in so much pain, and is so doped up on medication. She can't even walk. And she has a 6 month old son that she won't be able to take care of for a while. We were discharged from the hospital around 1AM.
My grandfather is very sick and has been sick for some time. He is on leave from work due to his illness and has a doctor's note ordering him to stay home. His coworkers are being assholes complaining to his boss that he is only entitled to x amount of sick days so now his boss has no choice but to look to this even though he was the one who received the doctor's note and is well aware of the situation. Also my aunt is being selfish, forcing my grandfather to care for her son while he's sick and needs his bedrest because HER son needs to take a nap and clearly naps can only be taken in the grandparents' house. NO WHERE ELSE.
So I am forced to leave my mother (I had gone to her house to help her take care of her son while she's incapacitated) and go help my grandfather take care of my cousin. My mother's husband takes the day off from work so she can stay with her and help her. Keep in mind that this is his first day off in FIVE MONTHS and his boss is well aware of the fact that his wife just came out of surgery hours before and they have an infant to care for..... He got fired for not coming to work that day.
Furthermore with my grandfather being on sick leave I have officially become the Breadwinner for two families. And yet my assistant manager doesn't know how to make a schedule. My weeks range from 30-40 hour weeks, to 10hour weeks. Can't feed a family on that kinda money.
There are a few bright spots though, I was able to hang out with my bff Beatrice where we worked together on a professional shoot for a music video that supposedly will be aired on TV. And later on the Universe threw me another Curveball that I might go along with just for shits and giggles, if nothing else. Let's just say we shouldn't underestimate the power of winks....
Also my got a few birthday presents! My bff Bea gave me a CD and my little cousins Sean gave me a hand-made card and $5. (He had to take out a loan. My aunt gave me $30. Yaay monies!
