It's a weird thing, really.

The :D smiley icon that's a standard on all Invisionfree boards is getting more and more noob-ish. I don't know why, it just seems like the :D smiley icon is being used by a lot of dumb newbies(no offense..?). And the dorky grin just seems to accentuate their stupidity...

I agree with both of you, that :D smily looks really lame. In fact, I use ":D" a lot, and whenever I do, I make sure to turn off emoticons, because that stupid smily might make people think I'm being sarcastic rather than expressing good-natured exuberance.

I concur. ;_; I like using ":D" but I don't in posts because it becomes that stupid thing.
