Birthday/X-Mas List 2004 REDUX Special Edition

Nov 16, 2004 11:28

Well, I've gotten yelled at for not making a X-mas list and Amanda inspired me to design my list via my Livejournal so here goes.

I am trying to think of what I want this year. I'm struggling to think of stuff. These are really only just suggestions. It's not like anyone can give me the ability to fly or a perfect tenor voice or a lead in a broadway show!

1) www.expressfashion.com I recently lost some of my favorite clothes due to a rather horrible explosion! That's right! An explosion! A pen exploded inside the washing machine and made some pants and shirts practically unwearable. Gift cards from Express would be nice, it's the only real store I actually shop at. I prefer gift cards from here cause I'm kind of picky. I need a new scarf though, if you hate gift card giving. This is number one on my list for a reason.

2) DVDs and such. First off, the Garden State DVD, Napoleon Dynamite, and Spider-man 2 Superbit DVDs. My 3 favorite films of the year. One was one of the most heartwarming to watch, one was just funny and crazy, and the other was one of the most exciting. If I had the Garden State movie poster (27x40) in a nice frame, I'd be ecstatic too. Yay for amazon.com having DVDs for 30% off!

2a) O.k., if I could come to own the brand new editions of Neon Genesis Evangelion on DVD, I will die. It's probably my favorite anime refined and redone just for DVD. The first 3 volumes are out and I want them. :-D I separated these DVDs from the others because they're anime. That's a good enough reason right?

3) Ps2 Re-Design. Early this year, my Playstation 2 bit the dust. Not only did my heart break because I could no longer play my favorite PS1 and PS2 games, but I realized that all of the gaming I still wanted to do on the platform was extinguished. For instance, no FFXII, no DMC3, no Xenosaga, no Grand Theft Auto, but most importantly, no Kingdom Hearts 2. Sony just issued out a new redesign of the system that looks sleek and is basically pocketsized. Hey mom and dad, it is priced @ $149. Doesn't sound bad does it?

4) Music! I would cry out with sounds of glee if ANYONE could find me the following music: The Black Mages CD (By Nobuo Uematsu), the Garden State Soundtrack and...well, that is it but if I got a new set of headphones, that would be amazing. I've been living with a pair of stone-age Sony's forever. I'm actually using them right now listening to Death Cab For Cutie's "Photobooth." Anyway...Best Buy's Sony Headphones Model # MDRG54LP seem to fit the bill.

5) I forgot to mention The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Director's Cut on DVD. Also, The Chronicles of Riddick Unrated Director's Cut on DVD. Two entirely different movies, I realize. One was awarded best picture, the other flopped at the box office. Either way, I love 'em the same.

6) A long shot but if anyone wants to just give me money to put towards a new video camera. I need to make a portfolio for film if I still want to study in that field (which is a huge resounding yes). I just need money that can go towards buying a new camera that I can hook into my laptop and edit with. Gift cards to Best Buy would be most helpful.

Other fun things that would make me happy under the tree.
--- Megatokyo "3vil l33t" t-shirt. www.megatokyo.com

--- Halo 2 and Kingdom Hearts action figures.
--- Emmy Rossum, star of the upcoming film "Phantom Of The Opera." Can she be bought? Only my attempts will see...

--- Manga.
--- Any dorky stuff I may like. Odds are if its anime or has any relation to Final Fantasy, you'll be an A+ for thoughtfulness.

Anyway, there ya go. I sound greedy looking back at all of this. So...Merry Christmas, my b-day is in 9 days. 19 isn't really a milestone age is it? It just means I have one more year to be a senseless dumb teenager. LET THE HILARITY ENSUE!
