Anyone seen Billy Elliot? I'll assume so cause it's such a good film. What about the musical? Anybody want to come see it? I've known about it for quite awhile, but only heard some of it today. Tis super good! Elton John did the music for it ( Read more... )

Strath makeyou take one too. Except we didn't get a test that would let us skip the course.

If you get second hand books it won't be as expensive. If you think you can do without owning them, borrow them from the library when you need them.

the IT test is s peice of piss, not that i have done it, i was exempt cos we had to do so much computer stuff anyway they figured we didnt need it, so that was cool.

Ps in 1st year i was £270 for books, and they were all 2nd or even 3rd hand. What u need cos there is always the off chance i may have some, and i dont use any of them.

I'm looking for mostly english books and philosophical books. Plus one on the semiotics of theatre. Don't think you'll have those books. But if you have anything on Descartes or semiotics that'd be cool.

the IT test is sucha joke, if someone comes to uni being unable to type or copy and paste i feel sorry for them

i'd wait until you start classes before you buy any books, we got a massive list last year that would have ended up costing about £500 but it turns out we hardly needed to actually buy most of the books!
