Here I sit in the darkest hours before dawn and I worry. Today is the birthday of my middle daughter. She was the best xmas gift I ever had, albeit she was a month early. I guess she wanted to get in on xmas. Today is going to be the birthday of her second child. Probably a boy, but she elected not to find out

I'm sure everything will be just fine, and that you'll be holding your new granddaughter/grandson for Christmas.

As for the birthday, look at the bright side, your daughter will have first hand experience on having a birthday this close to Christmas.

Yep, they were fine and came through well. I have a new grandson with thick, dark hair and a powerful set of lungs. Yes, we have been up to see them.

And I am laughing after all the years of her being annoyed at her birthday so close to xmas. The boot on the other foot.

More than are generally known. My eldest now has two teenage stepsons. That makes five boys and I had all girls. The elder two are easy to buy for as I gifted them boy an Amazon gift card and they can choose for themselves. The younger ones are more of a problem as the gifts must be fair and geared to the child.

According to the psychic my eldest visits, kid 2 will end up with two boys first and then a girl and kid 2 will have two boys. He is right so far. Don't know if kid 2 will have one more after this second section, but Kid 3 will have another in a year or so. I think Kid 3 would rather her little boy were out of diapers before she had the next one.

Now I start the run to the day with cleaning and cooking, etc. Hope you have a wonderful xmas and are unstressed this year with self-invited guests who don't show up.
