And I had to urbandictionary.com that, so here's what it says:

OTP:
One True Pairing. Meaning the your favorite combination of characters in a fandom.

That's why I didn't get it, I'm not into fandoms.

Sounds as if everything is going better for you even under the circumstances. You know, my mother was definitely there for me when my first love and I broke up. I explained to her what had happened and she was more than willing to let me back in the house. Thank god!

I do agree, what I would do without Netflix as well. I absolutely love it, especially since we do not have cable.
