Having to be dragged away from a shop window merely because they have guitars in the display wouldn't have been necessary in my yoof, had it been keyboards. Not a big feature of my listening pleasure these days, and I don't often play mine, but guitar soft porn is ok.
Btw: the "ker-chunk!" sound on "Machine Code" is a guitar, so nnnyer to you... :-)
it's all a disgusting ruse....godgirlFebruary 14 2007, 15:47:06 UTC
nothing, not even the prospect of drooling single young guitarists will lure me into the den of sin that is Harrods!
in nigh on for 15 years i've managed to avoid it, and such ludicrous stunts aimed at dragging the likes of me into the bastion of snobbery will be scorned for what they are.
i bet they turned jimi hendrix away when he turned up to buy a panini for breakfast after a late night on the town.
i know they turned robert smith away for being too scruffy.

Every time he turns up outside my house I have to say "Oy! Robert Smith! Noooo! You're too scruffy! Don't they have combs where you come from?"

gods, i do love the sound of a solo guitar, whether electric or acoustic.
when i was young i swore whomever i had a serious relationship with had to be able to play guitar or drums.
heh, i had my wish. two long term relationships. one a drummer and one a guitarist. damn, it was nice while it lasted! lol!
too bad harrods is on the other side of the pond. it would be a once in a lifetime spectacle worth seeing.
