wow, i think because you so rarely post, i don't hop on and check lj with any expectations of something from you. but then you surprise me and leave something beautiful like that just waiting for me to check. that's very odd that something as powerful and sweet as that poem would be in an engineering textbook, but i know from experience that hard-edged engineers are usually softies at heart anyway.

Well thank you for the wonderful words, Rebecca. I'm almost glad I don't post more, because I like surprising you. I knew you'd like the poem, and I can't believe it was in there. So you think I'm a softie, huh?

yeah, your "tough guy" exterior hides the most mellow, adorable, cute, sexy, sweet guy you could possibly imagine. defintely a softie. --you would *really* surprise me (and make me happy) if you started posting more. i love reading what you write.
