Yeah, I read elsewhere that if dvd sales do well enough, Universal might give him another shot. *fingers crossed*.

A Spike movie though... that would so rock :D

There's nothing exciting about the idea of a Spike film. Nothing at all. Nope. Nada. Really. Honest. *Ahem*

Please, please, please let them give the go-ahead for a Serenity II!!

I know the release of Serenity doubled sales of the Firefly box set, which is what made Universal very intruiged. So here's hoping...

Sorry to see Firefly go but at least there weren't many loose ends left over. On the other hand, Joss writing Wonder Woman. Woo! You just made my day :)

Ah, someone else has pretty much pointed it out already...

Suspiciously he released that "Oh noes firefly is doomed!!" statement the day before the dvd was released.

What a cheap way to get more sales.

Actually, if you read Joss' comments on Whedonesque, he says that he had said in the interview that there is closure, not that it was doomed. It basically boils down to EW being idiots and not picking up on his meaning.

As for the sales thing, personally any extra sales means an increased chance in Universal giving him another shot at doing something in the Firefly/Serenity universe, so I'll take it.
