August 14th - Open Air Hallway (Late Afternoon, Early Evening)

Hermione leaned into the post and tried to get her crying under control. Idiot! Stupid, stupid, prat! You do not tell a girl you just snogged what your ex was like, you do NOT! And of course more tears started rivers down her face. Hermione wiped them away again and conjured a kerchief...or tried to. Her concentration was shot enough that the ( Read more... )

The fact that Theo did not fall down when hit full on by the brunette running full out around the corner was something he chalked up to years of taining in how to not do embarassing things. People simply did not hurtle though the dungeon. There was a snide comment on his tongue and a sneer on his face when he realize who it was that was getting tears on his tie.

"Hermione?"

Hermione looked up to see who she'd run into. Considering the color of the tie and the use of her first name, she had a fairly good idea who it was, but made sure before he hugged him. A Ravenclaw walked by, but Hermione was currently at the point that propriety didn't matter, and there was technically nothing wrong with hugging a Slytherin. "I'm so mad!" she sobbed into his tie.

Theo gave the Ravenclaw in question a silent look that caused him to pale and leave. Earnest would keep his mouth shut.

"Come with me. This isn't the place." He wrapped an arm around her waist and led her down the hall, around the corner and through a door hidden behind a tapestry. "My sitting room."

Hermione looked around for a moment, raising an eyebrow at him. "Another unknown room. I think this castle grows them on its spare time." The slight humor of her own bad joke made her crying let up slightly, and she leaned into his side. She was still occasionally shuddering, but otherwise the crying had stopped. "I realize that Ron's sense of propriety is lower than most, but I thought he had better sense than he just showed me."

What was it with Gryffindor girls kissing his cheek? Theo turned his face to ask her when she kissed him again, this time meeting his lips.

Hermione jerked back as soon as their lips touched, her eyes a little wide. That had not been her intention...at all. A million different reasons why she should get up and create some space ran through her mind, why this was a bad idea. Most prominent being: You just kissed Ron. Yes, and Ron had screwed up.

And she hadn't moved yet.

And when she did move, she wrapped herself more thoroughly in his lap, one hand clutching his robes close to his shoulder, and reached up to kiss him deliberately and properly.

Theo was utterly still for one long moment. There were a million reasons not to return the kiss. However, he was Slytherin, and it was nice to be wanted, even if she did want him for all the wrong reasons.

He wrapped both arms around her properly, put one hand in her hair, tilted her head just so, and kissed her in a manner intended to make her moan or melt, or possibly both.

Hermione sat up a little in his lap, wanting to put more effort back into the kiss. She turned her head little farther and kissed him back with added fervor. At first, admittedly, it was a wish that he was Ron, that Ron was kissing her like this. And slowly, as the situation weighed down on her, no, she was kissing Theodore Nott, and she could feel that, and she knew that. She kissed him even harder, her lips parting, and moaned softly into his mouth.

Hermione couldn't help the sigh that escaped from his running his hands through his hair. Most people didn't have enough patience to separate her hair into stands so it could be done. "I promise, no habit has been formed after doing it twice. Strange how both times you got hit it an arousal was the original problem."

She reached forward and slowly rubbed one of his knees, then started to laugh. "We would be rich right now, wouldn't we? But to be honest, I don't know how this happened. Not complaining, though," she said as she squeezed his knee.

"Are we cuddling? Is that something that friends do? And were you implying that I aroused you? I certainly didn't set out to do so, but some things are simply beyond even my power. I do have a certain... je ne sais quoi..." He gave a version of the Gallic shrug, tongue firmly planted in cheek. "Do not hit me again."

"I'm already rich. Although you know what they say about gold..." He covered the hand on his knee, "I'm not complaining either."

Hermione grinned and looked up at him. "We are cuddling, and friends can do this. Usually close friends. As for arousing me...if we were more than just friends either you would explore and figure it out yourself or I would answer that question. But since we're just friends..." She smiled and shrugged. "But I'm glad you're not complaining, because I didn't want to get up." Her hand underneath his twitched with the desire to hold his hand, but she held it back.

"Why Ms. Granger, I'm shocked." He gave into an impulse he'd simply never had before in his life, and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Shall we plot the overthrow of the castle?" he asked.
