August 23rd - LATE

Fred bounded into the kitchen. He was smiling hugely and hummed the tune to a particularly raunchy song as he grabbed wine, glasses, cheese, crackers, some grapes, and a container of peanut butter. He got nearly to the door when he remembered one more thing and cast a spell to make the rest of the things float. He then rummaged for a dishrag and ( Read more... )

Oliver laid back across the bed, smiling up at the ceiling. He couldn't believe he'd asked. He couldn't believe Fred had said yes. He wanted to go shout to the world that he was marrying Fred.

He was still grinning when the object of his thoughts came sashaying into the room and leaned down to kiss him. "You kidding? I always miss you. Always." He reached up and tugged Fred onto the bed. "All right, you can eat peanut butter off of me. Can I drink the champagne off your skin?"

Fred grinned, kissing him and then spreading out on his back. He cast a charm at the still-floating bottle, and it popped open. He cast another and freezing cold champagne spilled out into his navel, a bit running down his side. He gasped aloud and laughed. "Yes! Hurry. Cold!"

Oliver laughed and sat up, leaning over Fred's body and licking at the champagne that had ran down his side. He chased the rivulets up to his navel, lapping it up softly, the taste of the alcohol mingling with the salty sweet taste of his skin. Sliding up, he kissed Fred again, moaning softly into his mouth. "You're delicious."

Fred moaned. "You have the best mouth. I get to keep this mouth." He grinned and kissed him deeply. "Anything else you want to lick of me? If so I should cancel the charm now because I'm about to lose my concentration."

"Shall we go tell people? In the morning?" He looked down at Oliver's swollen nipple. "Oh, I forgot, I brought ice. I'm sorry it hurts baby."

"It's fine," Oliver said, smiling at him. "I get hit by bludgers on a regular basis. I can handle it. And who are we telling? I'm up for announcing it to the world at large, you just say the word."

"Word," Fred said, unrepentantly. "Shall we take out an add in the Prophet? I'm for announcing it at your next game. We have to tell my family, of course, George first. And the team - well, at least Spence and Flynn. And random people at Hogwarts." Fred kissed him. "You get to tell Ginny."

Fred was smiling hugely, so happy he felt he could burst. He still wanted to meet Oliver's mum, but he wasn't going to cast another pall on this evening.

"Sorry, babe, I love you, but I'm not telling your sister. I do value my life somewhat and she won't kill you." He kissed him again. "I can't wait to meet your parents... think they'll like me? What if they don't like me? I mean, I've never met your dad. And I'll tell the team after you tell your family, let me know. I'm telling all of them."

"NO!" Oliver said, taking the brush from him and sticking it into his own mouth. "I 'ant oo." He spat into the sink. "Honest. I'm just... I'm nervous. I want them to like me, you know?" He finished brushing his teeth as Fred rinsed his mouth and then he rinsed his own and dried his face again. "All right. Ready. Wait... should we stop and get your mother some flowers?"

Fred smiled hugely. "She'd love that. That's a great idea." Fred checked himself in the mirror. "I give up, can't possibly be as handsome as you. You take me to the flower shop, and then I'll take you to the Burrow." Fred spread his arms. "I'm all yours, whenever you're ready."

Oliver slipped his arms around Fred's waist, pulling him in tight, ignoring the pain in his nipple. "Hang on, love," he said, kissing him as he apparated them to the flower shop down the road. He was surprised it was still open, but the older lady who ran it kept odd hours. "What's her favorite flower," he asked, when he managed to pry his lips off of Freds.

Fred shook his head. "I'm a terrible son. I don't know, actuallly. I used to bring her tulips sometimes. And when we were little George and I would go down the lane and pick lilacs for her. Dad brings her wildflowers from time to time. You choose. I can't imagine her hating any flower." He smiled thinking about his Mum. Whenever he smelled cinnamon he could feel her arms around him, remember her smile when she let him snitch cookie dough. "She's brilliant, really." And she was. Mind, Molly was one of the few people in the world who could scare him, but he knew she wouldn't be angry tonight.

Mr. Weasley looked harmless enough. And he complimented his wife and she rolled her eyes but smiled and blushed a bit. It was quite sweet, actually. He didn't hug Fred as hard as Mrs. Weasley had and Oliver was afraid for a moment he was going to hug him as well. He was relieved when the other man held out his hand.

"It's nice to meet you too, sir," Oliver said, remembering to look into his eyes as he shook his hand. "Fred's told me so much about you both."

The boy had spine, and a good grip. "Call me Arthur," he said, letting go and gesturing toward the table. "Pull up a chair at the table and make yourself at home. We're not formal around here. Any friend of Fred's is a friend of ours."

He smiled at his wife and jerked his head at Fred. "Molly, do you need any help?"

Fred walked over and put a hand on Oliver's back, guiding him to the table and smiling. His look said, See, it's alright, I told you. "Yeah Mum, do you need help?"

"No, thank you dear," she said to Fred, "I happen to know how you help," as she nodded Arthur toward the bread. It needed to be buttered. "You both sit down and tell me how you've been. You never said how George is doing." She poured the stew into the cauldron and set the flame to heat it up and then went to get plates and cups for them. "I'm glad you've finally brought Oliver by to see us." She patted Oliver's shoulder as she went by.

Molly stared at them for a moment. "What? You're getting married?" He was so young. "Oh, my, well, dear, that's... that's wonderful." She smiled at him and stood, walking around the table and pulling Fred into a huge hug. "My baby," she whispered, hugging him a bit tighter. "Are you both sure about this? You've thought everything through?"

Fred stood and hugged her back, worried that she didn't sound excited. Oliver had been nervous enough. "We are, Mum," he said, pulling back so he could look at her. "Love him so much sometimes it's like there's not enough room in me." He reached behind him for Oliver's hand. "I'm never been more sure of anything. Dunno about this bloke though, I suppose he could still change his mind."

"I'm not changing my mind," Oliver said, watching them both, too scared to actually look at Mr. Weasley. "I promise."

"Well of course you're not," she said, still smiling at Fred, teary eyed. "I'm thrilled for you, love. Oh, my baby!" She pulled Fred into another hug, nearly choking him. "Oh, Fred. When are you going to get married? Where?"
