It's not that I have nothing to write. I actually have buttloads. I'm just letting things sink into the sandbox of hindsight and perspective before I load it into the earthmover of posterity and publicity ( Read more... )

1) What (simple, everyday things) make you happy?

2) What qualities in a person determine your respect for him or her?

3) What do you think are your three most important personal strengths and weaknesses? How about mine?

1) Music makes me happy, a lot - it's a moderator (think nuclear). Sometimes if I need to mellow out, or freak out, or chill out, I'll sing, or belt, or grab a guitar and play, depending on the availability of willing or unwilling ears. Good weather, if I'm getting outside time, is good just to sit around and absorb - it's like soul food. I also like the feeling of finishing something, and almost forgetting it. And there's fried rice - eating it AND making it. The best is both. Let's not leave out God, though. That brings me full circle - worship (God+music, or +anything, actually, but that's complex) just r0x0rs my s0x0rs. It's not just happiness, it's satisfaction ( ... )

2) clarify: i should also say that my meaning of conviction also includes the regular meaning - strength of values and how much your actions align with your ethics, even if your ethical core is scant. consistency is still consistency.

1. If Duke gave you a partial or full scholarship, would you possibly go there? What would you say is the one biggest problem with Duke?
2. Why are you darkveggie?
3. If you could be any veggie, what would it be and why?

1. I wouldn't go there. It's too easy.
2. Veggie Tales.
3. Probably.................. a tomato. I have no idea why, but it has something to do with how cool Bob is in Veggie Tales. He's usually the one that has it together. Don't get me wrong, Larry's really cool, but he's also kinda not with it, most of the time. Tomatoes - that's the way to go.

1) Do you have as much respect for the study of social sciences (history, psychology, law, etc) as you do for the study of hard sciences (physics, biology, chemistry, etc.)?

2) If you knew that someone was lying to/deceiving you, would you confront them?

3) When you go to college or some other step later in life, would you prefer to have a completely fresh start where no one knows each other to begin with, or would you prefer to have a few friends that you knew previously so you can have a "comfort zone"?

Hey, I really appreciate it that you didn't ask any quasi-theoretical questions about who I'd save. Honestly, if life were that miserably wicked to me, I'd probably let everyone die, and then jump in with them ( ... )

1) There are lots of good ones, but my most consistent favorite (it's mood-dependent) is April Come She Will.
2) Yes. But only for p ractice, not for the game.
3) Hands down, my favorite movie of all time is ... probably ... Glory. Denzel Washington = the man.
