James Sighting!!!

You are probably thinking that I've dropped off the face of the earth because I haven't updated my LJ since FOREVER but I absolutely must now because I ran into JAMES MARSTERS on the streets on New York. I was walking up Broadway toward Lincoln Center (on my way to the Barnes and Noble there) to kill an hour before a dance class and who should I ( Read more... )

Wow, that's neat. I've only ever met him at a con, when he was "on" and had to be nice to all us fans. Good to know he's as gracious when someone catches him on the street. Thanks for the report!

I think that's where he thought he met me before, at a con. Jeez, I was lucky, I had him all to myself. Now I've shaken hands with and gazed into the blue blue eyes of both James and Hugh Laurie-both my make believe TV boyfriends. Good thing I have a gift for meaningless small talk and am not afraid to accost total strangers. Talkin' to JM. Will wonders never cease?

I found JM's eyes particularly striking in person. The camera makes them look plain medium blue, but actually they're a very unusual steely blue-grey.

I'm not so much about the Spike love anymore. But despite his tendency to write boneheaded things at his website, James has always come across as a very good guy, and he's certainly very charismatic. Definitely someone who deserves more success in the future.

I agree with your assessment. I've cringed at more than one of his boneheaded comments. I think he speaks from the heart though, and I hope he scores some meaningful work as an actor. Steely blue-grey...yeah.

That is an AMAZING story! I'm very excited for you, and damn your camera phone to hell!!!!!!!! Thank God he was gracious and didn't say anything which could be used against him in a court of fandom law. :0P

Thanks for sharing your adventure with us, sweetie.

Court of fandom -lol-no, we can't reproach him in the court of fandom.
I figured out what was wrong with the cell phone camera-the lens was rotated inward so that all I could see was blackness-and I was too adle-brained to figure it out in time. Fuckity fuck fuck...
