Nothing gets your patriotic blood pumping more than loud as hell fighter jets doing crazy ass maneuvers paired with overpriced beer and food! And this weekend was the annual KC Aviation Expo where there was plenty of all that to be had.

They were lucky enough to book the US Air Force Thunderbirds to be part of the demonstrations this year, which ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure if I could get my hands on one of those Thunderbirds jumpsuits and a pair of sweet aviator sunglasses, I could get laid a hell of a lot more. Those things were like chick magnets when the flight crew members were walking through the crowds.

Greaet shots. Except.... what's with all these people's heads in the video shots?? Why can't you be a giant like me and look over the top of everyone?

I sill haven't had the chance to walk through that old TWA liner. I want to do that. I think they keep that think at that air museum near oak grove. I'm gonna check out that sumbitch when I come visit in Oct.

God did not see fit to grace me with height...so I get stuck behind a bunch of tall a-holes all the time. And much like at outdoor concerts and special events, airshow fanatics seem to think its ok to push their way through and stand in front of you even though you staked out a spot and sat there for near 3 hours. But don't get me started on that rant, because I'll have an anuerism.

Yeah, that Constellation class liner is on display at the downtown airport full time along with 2 other TWA planes, a DC-3 and Martin 404. We can definately check it out. Theres an air combat museum out in Topeka that has over 30 planes/helicopters on display including a couple MIGs, two Hueys, a Nazi BF109 and a F-14 Tomcat. Its about an hours drive, so if you feel like a road trip, that'd be worth it I think.
