8-( Has it healed to the point where you can tell whether you're sleeping better?

Do you get sensible sick leave in that jurisdiction?

Would you like a 920-piece marble tower? Surprisingly more-ish to assemble, and might displace stupid stuff, assuming stupid stuff involves outdoors and movement and interaction with people and all that.

I think that I am sleeping a little better but there's still quite a bit of healing left to do (I think) so I'm hopeful that things will noticeably improve. I've been sine curving rather on the sleeping well and feeling better graphs without a lot of apparent rhyme or reason (well, except when I go out and get myself infected with colds and such I suppose.)

We get to use saved vacation time as sick leave. Not sure what happens if you run out of vacation time, I think you can go on short term disability at reduced (2/3rds?) pay after two weeks or so of no pay or perhaps borrow a few sick days from your future vacation allotment.

The marble tower is a very nice thought but I don't think that I'm in a 900 piece marble tower mood at the moment.

Are you feeling better, especially your ears. Hope you had a good birthday.

The ear's essentially fixed, apart from at night time when it feels liable to get much worse suddenly but in fact doesn't. I'm mostly better; flu-related bad night last night but it seems to have cleared up today. Birthday good, if quiet (actually, that might have been because I couldn't hear anything).

In general, we're on an upswing, with K suddenly seeming much older and more capable. Cycling to school on her own bike! which makes the mornings noticeably less knackering.
