work it out.

Dec 03, 2009 03:40

Oi my body hurts today.

Yesterday I decided to force my lazy ass to work out. It went well. emergingmuses pointed me in the direction of a woman's site with some great workout videos. So I did an Abs video, and a Legs video. I also did a bunch of push-ups and leg lifts on my own. "For fun." Ha ( Read more... )

I'm glad you tried out the website! If you work in other routines, you'll get cardio AND fun out of it and you won't get bored.
Wall based pushups are very healthy for toning the shoulder/back too. They're simple and as long as you have a wall, you can do them!
I totally support the whole "wanting to look better, feel better" concept and it isn't easy, but you know what? That's the point! hahaha

Your holiday sentiments are lovely :)

annnnd that picture of Saturn/Titan ROCKS. hahaha I love planets. *nerd*

Good to hear, because wall pushups are the only ones I'm actually really good at! hahahaha.

Well, my boyfriend Dave is a Satanist so he has really gotten me into Lavey. There are a lot of factors in Satanism that I find very attractive and which I majorly identify with. I definitely admire Mr. Lavey and his philosophies whole-heartedly. However, I'm hesitant to label myself as a Satanist because there are a few things I don't fully agree with, plus I am very influenced by First Nations beliefs as well.

Crowley is someone who I have dabbled in over the years.

I wouldn't say I've necessarily created my own brand, but I suppose in a way I sort of have. Because true Satanists don't believe in a tangible, physical manifestation of the Devil, I find myself heavily influenced by the Church of Satan, but I also mix in my own spiritual beliefs about nature and magic, as well as being extremely grounded in science at the same time.
Haha. I'm kind of all over the place.

Alright! Seems like everyone is gettin' their groove on this time of year :D
I'm the opposite, I HATE working out with anyone. I'm totally a private mover/shaker.

i also dont' really believe in christianity (nor does matt) but shit we LOVE christmas. we're waiting until next week to get our tree (we do real each year)

as for the weight issue, i know what you mean. i think i technically weigh somewhere around 160 to maybe even 165 pounds right now, which is 10-15 than my "ideal" weight but NOW, because i work out so regularly, this is all muscle mass and my waist is actually AS SMALL as when i was skinny.

i love myself so much when i exercise regularly. the endorphines are great and i love my body so much. SO MUCH.

keep working out! even 10 minutes a day is better than nothing!!!

Dude that's why I never weigh myself. To me it's way more important to just like how my body looks in the mirror, rather than be a slave to the scale. The only reason I knew my weight for awhile/knew exactly how much I lost, was because I was doing Herbal Magic and they weigh you once a week. But the cool thing about them was that they also measured how many inches you lost each week, all over your whole body. I liked seeing those numbers go down way more than I cared about the scale.
