OH GOD I KNOW. I had Cas riddled dreams last night trying to digest all this. I hated that Dean felt that way because his character is particularly special for having dead on instincts. I mean, whenever he thinks something's really bad it really is, you know? Agh, and that last scene felt like Dean getting freaked and clarifying their relationship.
Cas: I did it all for you, Dean. Dean: Dude, you know you're like a brother to me, right?
The whole thing was immensely frustrating, but at least I felt sympathetic towards Castiel rather than the opposite. If this finale isn't about them all kissing and making up and apologizing for being assbutts then I'm going to cry bitter, bitter tears. :(
To be honest, my sympathies were completely on Castiel's side. :/ If Dean, Sam and Bobby would just stop navel-gazing for a minute and actually listen, maybe they wouldn't be so quick to judge.
Dean's "you're like a brother to me" was especially frustrating when you consider what he's done for Sam. Like, say, a deal with a demon. They've all done that to save each other (as in, save one or two persons) and it's been a-okay, but when Cas does it to save almost seven billion people, it's suddenly horrible and unforgivable. Little understanding wouldn't be wasted here!
In conclusion: it's all God's fault anyway.
I suspect that the finale will end in a cliffhanger with Cas either sacrificing himself or getting killed by Dean. Then the fans will bite their nails until they hear whether Misha has signed up for the seventh season or not. XD
I COULD CAPSLOCK ALL DAY. EXCEPT IT'S NIGHT AND I SHOULD GO TO SLEEP, SO.
I COULD, LIKE, TALK ABOUT MY RAGING CRUSHES ON CROWLEY & CAS. I BLAME THE ACTORS, WHO TOLD THEM THEY COULD SMOULDER AT EACH OTHER LIKE THAT?
*ahem*
Riiiiiiiight? I thought of Ruby and Sam's little addiction as well. And it's not like anyone ever asked Cas about the war. It was always "Cas, heeeeelp!" when they called him. D: When was he supposed to tell them when they clearly weren't interested IN THE FAITH OF THE ENTIRE WORLD?
