In which I divulge just how much I love a good bargain.

My favourite discount vitamin/mineral/herb/supplement/EO supplier, Puritan's Pride always has amazing deals (like buy 1 get 1 free, or buy 2, get 3 free). I think I've mentioned them before but I have to mention them again because I just discovered they're offering free shipping on all domestic orders until January 31st ( Read more... )

Haha, I totally get you but the thing is - I love a good bargain so much that it's part of the reason I'm OCD about checking my supplies constantly so I can order long before I run out :P

I really tacked on the other stuff (besides EPO which I still have a ton left over from inducing with Julia) because it was a good deal and I could ALWAYS use more of it. The nettle tea was just a bitchin' deal, haha.

Help me.
I want to get as much as my stuff I take as possible in a non-pill form, I feel like the gulping water to swallow pills is what makes me hurl.

Ok there is no zinc in the cal/mag ones
The peri specifically said to take a cal/mag/zinc supplement
Hmm.

Yup, the second one does (pina colada flavor). It's the one I take - Ca/Mg/Zn :)

Hahaha - the comment I left you before covers all those supplements in liquid form :)

There is a vit C supplement, too:

Might want to consult with your doctor before taking the C supplement, though. I was advised against it because it can counteract anti-coagulants and decrease their efficacy.

Eating foods high in Vit C is fine, though - strawberries, oranges, bell peppers, etc. Best way to get it anyway :)

Probiotics are basically "good bacteria". Many women are prone to yeast (ESPECIALLY in pregnancy - and not just in the vagina - it lives in the intestinal tract). Probiotics (like acidophilus) restore the natural flora in your intestine - help you stay regular and a normal pH, etc. Totally safe and good for you. Especially gret to have around when folks are getting antibiotics - helps keep yeast at bay!

And what is acidophilus?

lol, not at all. John took the day off from work and he's watching First 48 on the tv. I can't do my yoga dvd and I typically hate reality crime shows, so I'm just vegging on the computer :)
